St. Lucie County’s Oxbow Eco-Center invites the public for an open house on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For the past 20 years, the Oxbow has provided the community with nature programming including youth camps, family activities, guided excursions, adult trainings and lecture series. In addition, the center offers interactive exhibits, live animals, a nature playscape and 3 miles of hiking trails, which are free to access and supported by a vibrant volunteer program.
Come celebrate your local St. Lucie County gem and enjoy a hike through winding trails and beautiful oak lined hammocks along the serene St. Lucie River. Whether you are familiar with the Oxbow Eco-Center or have never visited before, stop inside to experience the multifaceted operations of this environmental education center and learn about the many opportunities to get involved including nature programs, outdoor recreation, wildlife viewing, volunteer opportunities, gardening tips and more.
The open house is a free, come-and-go-as-you-please event. Located at 5400 NE St. James Drive in Port St. Lucie, the Oxbow Eco-Center is a St. Lucie County Environmental Learning Center and nature preserve encompassing 225 acres along the St. Lucie River.
