Get out and enjoy the great outdoors with SLC's Environmental Resources Dept.'s weekly Nature Series' guided, educational hikes. Programs give participants a chance to explore some of the 42 miles of hiking trails located throughout the County's nearly 10,000 acres of Environmentally Significant Lands:

•  Prairie Hammock Wildlife Hike at Steven J. Fousek Preserve (aka Paleo Hammock Preserve) - Many birds and animals call the prairie tree islands of Teague Hammock home. From wetland birds to large mammals, many share these hammock island habitats and often leave behind evidence of their residence. We're on the search for various signs of life and seeing what creatures we can spot along the way.
