The City of Port St. Lucie is making family game night bigger - literally – by hosting eight NICE (Neighborhood Improvement and Community Engagement) Neighborhood Socials with giant games, activities, free food, giveaways and more. In select parks, these social events encourage residents’ input on community issues and help develop plans for their neighborhoods’ needs.
Nearly every week in May, the City will set up a variety of classic games to play, all of them giant-sized! This includes classics like Connect Four, Jenga, Cornhole, Tic Tac Toe and more.
Residents can also bring their games from home to play as well. In addition to games, the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County will serve free hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages.
Meetings are facilitated by the NICE office and will take place in the following locations:
- Canal Pointe and Riverview are invited to join us Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 6:00 PM at the C-24 Canal Park, 500 SE Oakridge Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
- Cashmere Cove, Swan Park, Floresta Pointe, Floresta Gardens and Bayshore Heights, are invited to join us on Thursday, May 4th at 6:00 PM at Kiwanis Park, 1320 SE Floresta Drive.
- Lyngate and Morningside, are invited to join us on Tuesday, May 9th at 6:00 PM at Lyngate Park, 1301 SE Lyngate Drive.
- Gatlin Pines, Newport Isles, Whispering Pines and Rosser Reserve, are invited to join us on Thursday, May 11th at 6:00 PM at O.L. Peacock Park, 1950 SW Dreyfus Blvd.
- Northport Village, St. Lucie West and Torino are invited to join us on Saturday, May 13th at 10:00 AM at Winterlakes Park, 5241 NW Jannebo Street.
- Sandhill Crossing is invited to join us on Tuesday, May 16th at 6:00 PM at Sandhill Crane Park, 2355 SE Scenic Park Drive.
- Becker Ridge, Crane Landing, Paar Estates, Sawgrass Lakes, Tulip Park and Woodland Trails, are invited to join us on Thursday, May 18th at 6:00 PM at Woodland Trails Park, 1485 SW Calmar Ave.
- Fairgreen Crossings, Hidden Oaks, Oak Hammock and Palm Trails, are invited to join us on Saturday, May 20th at 10:00 AM at Oak Hammock Park, 1982 SW Villanova Road.
Residents are invited to join the conversation and win cool prizes. The meetings include free, educational fun for all ages and a chat about:
- How to prevent common code compliance issues;
- Re-working the swale system and discontinuing the plastic swale liner program;
- The various ways to stay informed about local City news, programs and more;
- Activities the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County offer;
- Any other questions or topics that residents want to discuss or learn about.
