City reveals more event details for the #IamPSL Citizen Summit

The City’s most engaging event of the year, the #IamPSL Citizen Summit, is Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 9:00 AM to Noon at the PSL Community Center, 2195 SE Airoso Blvd, Port St. Lucie, 34984. This fun, free educational event allows citizens to give direct feedback about the City’s future through games and one-on-one conversations.

The City wants to hear from residents of all ages about the City's Strategic Plan, so bring the family to this educational event filled with live performances, an arts & crafts table, a Lego build, and a kid’s scavenger hunt with a build a button prize.

  • Doors open at 9:00 AM., but residents are invited to join in on the fun early.

  • Starting at 8:30 AM, Yoga Instructor Ute Schwartz will be conducting an hour-long session on the Community Center front lawn. The first ten participants will receive a free exclusive Crosstown t-shirt.

  • 9:15 AM, outside the front entrance, the Treasure Coast High School Dance Team will perform and bring their dynamic blend of energy.

  • 10:15 AM, outside the front entrance, Centennial High School Band will showcase their musical style.

  • 11:15 AM, outside the front entrance, Port St. Lucie High School Band will entertain the crowd will their musical skills.

  • 12:00 PM, inside at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center table, staff will pick a raffle winner for a pair of Everclear concert tickets for Saturday, April 1st, at 7:00 PM.

Other activities planned for this year’s event include

  • a Police Department speeding prevention simulator;
  • four educational kid zones; 
  • an outdoor playground; 
  • a selfie station. 
  • Complimentary refreshments will be catered by culinary students from Northport K-8 School and Port St. Lucie High School.

Citizens are invited to drop in any time, walk through interactive booths to find out what is planned for their community and learn how they can get involved. Attendees will be given a roadmap to the seven stations that correspond to the City’s seven strategic goals. Those who provide feedback will receive an exclusive T-shirt and sticker plus other giveaways, while supplies last.

Every participant, including kids, will be given $100 in play money to identify and prioritize where additional taxpayer dollars should be spent. This allows City Council to see residents’ priorities when forming this year’s Strategic Plan update.

The fifth annual #IamPSL Citizen Summit provides residents and community members an opportunity to play a key role in identifying, discussing and prioritizing Port St. Lucie’s strategic goals. Residents' feedback and opinions play an important role in helping shape plans for Port St. Lucie's future, and citizens of all ages will be able to share their ideas and learn more about the City’s top strategic projects at the 2023 #IamPSL Citizen Summit.
