St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) earned a graduation rate of 90.8% which exceeds the state average of 87.3%. SLPS is one of only four counties in the State that can boast of six consecutive years exceeding 90%. In addition, SLPS ranks 2nd on the Treasure Coast and 4th in the state for districts with more than 3,000 students in the graduation cohort. The six traditional high schools boasted a rate of 95.5% for the 2021-2022 school year.
St Lucie Public Schools' 2022 graduation rate exceeded its pre-pandemic level. The 2021-22 high school graduation rate was 90.8%, an increase of 0.4% over the 2018-2019 school year. That was the last year that Florida's statewide, standardized assessments requirements for graduation were fully in place, without exemption waivers.
SLPS continues to close the achievement gap with all groups of students outperforming their respective state graduation rates. 91.1% of Black students graduated, outperforming the state by 9.1%. 89.1% of Hispanic students graduated, outperforming the state by 3.2%. 91.3% of White students graduated, outperforming the state by .7%. 89.3% of Exceptional Student Education students graduated, outperforming the state by 5.8%. Moreover, all groups continue to rank among the highest in the state.
