High School Students Invited to Join Youth United

January 6, 2023

The United Way of St. Lucie County is excited to announce the launch of “Youth United,” an incredible experiential learning program designed to establish and strengthen community connectedness for all St. Lucie County youth currently in 9th-12th grade.

What is the benefit of community connectedness, you ask?

It:

  • provides youth with a sense of belonging

  • increases empathy

  • provides exposure to unique opportunities

  • increases knowledge about our community's resources, challenges, and strengths

  • establishes relationships with community partners for future service and/or employment opportunities

  • increases the likelihood of youth remaining in or returning to St. Lucie County as adults who desire to contribute to the enrichment of the county.

In addition to the aforementioned benefits, students will EARN VOLUNTEER HOURS (required by high schools) for being active members of Youth United, all while having a great time among peers in this new and completely FREE program!!!

Please see the flyer below for more information and to complete our brief interest form by scanning the QR code or you may go directly to https://forms.gle/VAobaKcPCaKsDAVcA.

We look forward to welcoming your teen at Youth United!
