Port St. Lucie Lights Up the Holiday Season

Residents invited to join in on the festivities

November 23, 2022

Beginning Wednesday, November 23, 2022 more than 200,000 LEDs will illuminate Port St. Lucie from dusk to dawn until January 1st, but the holiday cheer doesn’t end there.

The City has planned family-friendly activities throughout the season, including dazzling lights and displays, a destination photo-op contest, a PSLinLights Holiday Special, a residential outdoor holiday-decorating contest, a searchable holiday lights map and nine festive events. For the ultimate list of Port St. Lucie’s holiday light displays and events visit www.CityofPSL.com/PSLinLights.

Residents are invited to engage with us this holiday season in the following festive ways:

  • PSL photo-op contest - Eleven holiday-themed photo-op displays will pop up throughout Port St. Lucie, and residents are encouraged to take a family portrait or snap a selfie and send it to PSLCommunications@CityofPSL.com beginning Wednesday, November 23rd through Sunday, January 1, 2023, for a chance to win $150 in prizes. Winners will be announced on Friday, January 6, 2023.

  • PSLinLights residential outdoor holiday-decorating contest - City elves have been working hard to spread holiday cheer and now they’re challenging residents to untangle their lights, pull out the inflatables and start decorating for the seventh annual PSLinLights Holiday Lights Contest. This outdoor holiday-decorating contest is a festive way to demonstrate community pride and light up the holiday season. Residents can sign up from Tuesday, November 22nd to Sunday, January 1, 2023 at www.CityofPSL.com/PSLinLights. The best part: it’s free to enter for a chance to win $500 in prizes. Winners will be announced on Friday, January 6, 2023.

Once residents string their lights, deck the halls and enter into PSLinLights residential outdoor holiday-decorating contest, they become the shining stars for our entire community to enjoy in our PSLinLights holiday campaign

PSL holiday lights map - When holiday lights enthusiasts register their homes in the contest, the City adds the display information into a searchable database, creating a must-see holiday lights display list with photos and a map. The holiday lights map can be used by the entire community to create their holiday lights tour of the City.

PSLinLights Party, Friday, December 16th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM - Contestants with festive and unique light displays will be featured on the big screen at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center. The dazzling night includes a festive pet costume contest, live music and dance performances, children’s activities, food trucks, cookies, cocoa and candy canes (while supplies last), and photos with Santa himself! Presented by the City of Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie Cultural Alliance and admission is free.

Festive Pet Contest at the PSLinLights Party - Pet owners are invited to bring their friendly pet, dressed in their holiday best to the MIDFLORIDA Event Center and walk in the pet parade on Friday, December 16th at 8:30 PM. Each pet (and its owner) will strut its stuff, and judges will vote on the most festive pet. Winners will be announced at the event.

PSLinLights Holiday Special on Sunday, December 18th, at 7:00 PM - Contestants with the most festive and over-the-top holiday light displays will be featured on Facebook and PSLTV. Throughout the show, viewers also can win $25 gift cards during a live trivia contest! PSLTV is available on AT&T UVerse (Channel 99), Comcast (Channel 20) and Blue Stream Fiber (Channel 20). To be eligible for the PSLinLights Facebook live holiday lights event, contestants must enter their home into the PSLinLights residential outdoor holiday-decorating contest by 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 11, 2022.
