The Children's Museum Hosts Merry Holiday-Themed Events in December

The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast is excited to share a number of fantastic events for the community to enjoy this December!

Kicking off the first event of the month is "A Night Out at the Museum," to be held on December 9, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. If you need a night out to do some holiday shopping and wrapping, this is the event for you! Children ages 6-12 will have a great time making holiday gifts for family members, eating pizza and making a fun holiday snack to enjoy. The cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members and registration is required by December 5th. To reserve your spot, register today at www.childrensmuseumtc.org.


Next up on the list is "Cookies With Santa" on Saturday, December 17th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Come out & celebrate the holiday season at The Children’s Museum for a meet and greet with Santa, cookie decorating, and a very special story time with Santa himself. This event is FREE with your paid admission. 


December brings winter break from school. Kids ages 6 to 12 will have a blast at The Children's Museum's "Winter STEAM Camp." Camp begins Monday, December 19th and runs Monday - Friday through January 3rd. Kids will create cozy winter art projects, design a sledding hill race and create a sugar cube ice palace. There are outdoor activities and games for campers to enjoy in the great winter weather. Visit www.childrensmuseumtc.org/camp for more details and to register.


Finally, on December 30th, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, the Museum invites families to attend their "Happy 'Noon' Year Celebration." Celebrate a pre-New Year's countdown to 12 (noon) with a balloon drop, snacks, and crafts to kick of 2023! The event is included with general museum admission.


In addition to the above, guests of the Museum can continue to enjoy the below recurring events:

  • Sensory Friendly Day: Sunday, December 11th, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM - An exclusive, family-fun day where children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Sensory Processing Disorder can enjoy an interactive experience at the museum in a relaxing and comfortable environment specifically set with their needs in mind. Admission: $1. NO registration is required at this time. Capacity is 75 guests, if capacity is met, entry will be closed until it falls below the max threshold.

  • Wacky Wednesday Workshops: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - enjoy a new, themed workshop every week. Free with paid general admission.

  • Toddler Story Time: Tuesdays, 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM - settle down for a cute little story read by one of the museum staff. Free with paid general admission.

The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast is located at 1707 NE Indian River Drive, Jensen Beach, 34957. It is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
