Note From Your Publisher: Events May Be Canceled Due to Storm

A Message From Your Publishers

As I write this on November 9, 2022 at 7:18 PM, Tropical Storm Nicole is beginning to impact our area.  The winds are howling and the rain is coming down. I keep wondering if we're going to make it through the storm with our power and internet intact, but having been through many storms before, I'm guessing we will likely loose power soon. During Hurricane Ian, we did not lose power but we did lose internet for a day. To that end, I'm attempting to schedule Friday's newsletter now so that we won't miss our publishing deadline if I can't get back online to publish.

Because of the storm, I remind you that the events I'm including in this week's newsletter may be postponed or canceled. We do our very best to ensure the accuracy of the events on our calendar, however, when storms threaten our area, our focus turns to publishing emergency management information coming in from the city, county and schools. It becomes very difficult to update the hundreds events on the calendar. Therefore, before going out to any event after the storm, we ask that you please check with event organizers to get a status update directly from them.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Stay safe everyone.
