Come out and help clean up 125 miles of waterways in Martin, St. Lucie & Indian River Counties at the 15th Annual Treasure Coast Waterway Cleanup, July 23, 2022.
This event is perfect for students, service clubs, yacht clubs or anyone who wants to be part of the solution to pollution. Volunteers will receive an event T-shirt and watercraft will receive a commemorative burgee to fly, which indicates that they are part of the event. This is a great way for teens to earn some valuable community service hours.
Although boaters of all types are needed, it is not required to have a boat. There are many sites for walkers and assistance is also needed at check in and disposal sites.
This year, there will be two options to participate in the waterway cleanup: the first option is the week-long virtual cleanup that starts Saturday, July 16, 2022 and runs through Sunday July 24th. The virtual cleanup is self-reporting and allows volunteers to
- participate anytime during cleanup week;
- collect date through the digital form;
- use their own cleanup supplies or pick-up a grabber in advance from designated small businesses;
- register as an individual, family, or team.

The second option is to participate as an individual, family, or team, during the in-person cleanup day at one of the designated 2022 cleanup sites in Martin, St. Lucie, or Indian River Counties. The in-person cleanup event takes place on Saturday, July 23rd from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
