Get Hurricane Ready: Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday thru 6/10

Hurricane season is upon us. The 2022 hurricane season starts June 1st and runs through November 30th. To help Florida residents get the supplies they need to weather a storm, the Florida Legislature has passed, and Gov. DeSantis has signed into law, the 2022 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday. The tax holiday began on May 28, 2022 and extends through June 10th. During this time, consumers may purchase qualifying disaster preparedness supplies as indicated on the infograph below.
