Port St. Lucie to Honor Military Heroes at Memorial Day Service, 5/30

Memorial Day honors the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. A special service will be held May 30, 2022 at Veterans Memorial Park, 2100 SE Veterans Memorial Parkway, Port St. Lucie 34952, to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. The City of Port St. Lucie and the United Veterans of Port St. Lucie will provide a moving tribute in recognition and commemoration of the fallen men and women.

The public is invited to join City staff and guests to honor those of all generations who served our country. The Memorial Day Service is organized by the United Veterans of Port St. Lucie and the City of Port St. Lucie.

The ceremony will feature guest speakers, including Dr. Chauncelor Howell GySgt, U.S. Marine Corps. retired, and remembrance and celebration of those who have died in service. Additionally, the service will include a performance of “God Bless America” and an armed forces medley by the Port St. Lucie Community Band, a rifle salute, the national anthem, a resounding of taps and more.

Among the dignitaries in attendance will be Vice Mayor Jolien Caraballo and veteran Flo Ripperger, who will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

Seating is limited, so arriving early and bringing a chair is recommended.
