Since offering direct financial assistance to St. Lucie County residents through the CARES Act program in early July, the county has distributed more $2.2 million to 834 households. The county has allocated approximately $5.8 million to this program. Due to the large amount of applications that are already in process, the deadline to apply for funding is Friday, October 9, 2020 at 5:00 PM.

Residents that have suffered economic hardships because of COVID-19 and meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply online at www.recoverstlucie.org. If residents miss the deadline to apply, St. Lucie County is still providing $1 million in direct funding from the CARES Act program to local non-profits and places of worship that provide assistance to residents.
