FAU CARD's Little Owls Early Intervention is hosting a free, Autism Training for Parents webinar beginning August 18, 2020. The webinar will meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, through September 24, 2020.
The Webinar, designed for parents of children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years, was created to help prepare families to be active participants in a child's positive developmental growth.
Topics covered include:
- What is autism
- Understanding and preventing problem behavior
- Learn unique ways a child with autism communicates and experiences the world
- Keeping your child safe
- Navigating resources (school system, scholarship, autism insurance, and more)
- Tips on taking care of you
