St. Lucie County Opens Ravenswood Pool for Lap Swimming and Exercising

July 8, 2020

St. Lucie County’s Parks & Recreation Department opened the Ravenswood Pool for lap swimming with limited capacity.

Located at 400 SW Ravenswood Lane in Port St. Lucie, the Ravenswood Pool will open to eight swimmers per time slot for lap swimming and water exercises only. Four lanes will be designated for one person per lane or a household group, while two lanes will allow two swimmers in the shallow area and two swimmers in the deep end.

There are mechanical issues with the pumps at the Lakewood Park Pool, located at 5990 Emerson Ave., Fort Pierce. Staff members are working to get these issues resolved so that facility can reopen soon. The splash pads at both Lakewood Park and Ravenswood are open.

The Ravenswood Pool will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with sessions from 10:30 AM to 11:45 PM; 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM; 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM, and 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM.

Admission to the pool is $1.50 per session, while the cost of the splash pad is $1.25. To reserve a session please visit www.stlucieco.gov/aquatics (please register using the RecTrac system: search Swim Activities).

The health and safety of swimmers, staff and other patrons remains St. Lucie County’s highest priority. The county is taking actions to help ensure it is lowering the COVID-19 risk as much as possible while also allowing residents to enjoy the aquatics facilities. Because of the pandemic, patrons and staff must wear masks inside the fenced area; however, masks must be removed before entering the water. Restrooms will be cleaned/sanitized in 15-minute intervals throughout the day. Chairs and lounge chairs will be placed a minimum of six feet apart with additional sanitization throughout the day.

For more information please call the Ravenswood staff at 772-871-2183.
