Fairwinds Golf Course is scheduled to reopen on Friday, May 1. In an effort to protect the health and safety of our employees and guests, Fairwinds staff will be following social distancing standards recommended by the Center for Disease Control. These standards will be strictly enforced without exception.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as our team members diligently work to provide a safe environment for everyone,” said Fairwinds Manager Mark Cammarene.
Some changes include:
- Only one golfer permitted in a golf cart;
- All carts will be sterilized after every use;
- Tee times intervals will be every 15 minutes to create more spacing on the course;
- All rakes, water coolers, trashcans, tee markers and any other above ground hardware have been removed;
- “Gimmies” will be allowed, as the golf ball will not go into the hole.
All payments for green fees will take place online or over the phone when reservations are made. Walk-in play will not be permitted until the COVID-19 safety precautions have been lifted. The golf shop will remain closed.
The Rusty Putter will be offering “curbside take-a-way” service offering a limited menu, snacks and beverages.
“Golf is a sport like no other where you can enjoy the great outdoors, get some great exercise, spread out over a 150-acre playing field and soak up some natural Vitamin D,” added Cammarene.
Reservations will be accepted online at Fairwindsgolf.com or by calling 772-462-4653.
