Kilmer Library Looks Into the Secret Life of Pets & Addams Family

The Susan Broom Kilmer Library takes a closer look at the “The Secret Life of Pets” and the Addams Family this February.

Family activities include:

  • Family Storytime is held on the first Saturday of each month at 3 p.m.

  • Storytime Jam on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for ages 3-5. This early literacy program encourages reading, imagination and socialization.

  • Rhythm and Rhyme Storytime on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. for ages 2-3. This weekly program focuses on early literacy through rhymes, stories, movement and more.

  • Finger Painting and Bubble Play is on the first Wednesday and first Friday of each month, following storytime.

  • Make your own Valentine cards at the Valentine Station from Feb. 4 through Feb. 14. All materials supplied.

  • Movie Matinee: “The Secret Life of Pets 2” on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. Featuring the voices of Kevin Hart and Harrison Ford, this animated sequel continues the story of Max and his pet friends, following their secret lives after their owners leave them for work or school each day. This film is rated PG with a running time of 86 minutes.

  • Early Dismissal Movie Matinee: “The Addams Family” on Feb. 19 at 3:30 p.m. Featuring the voices of Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron, this animated remake of the classic TV family tells the story of a shady TV personality, who realizes that the Addams' mansion stands in the way of her dream of selling all the neighborhood houses. The movie is rated PG with a running time of 86 minutes.
