The hair and beauty industry has became an billion dollar industry. MRC Teen program has partnered with barbers, hairstylist, cosmetologist, make up artist, and a host of volunteers from the beauty academy to host Interactive sessions for middle and high school students, introducing youth to the beauty industry.
The series features a total of 12 session leading up to a beauty show finale, which is scheduled to take place on February 20, 2020. Teens will get the opportunity to learn as well as participate in a number of demonstrations including hair coloring, do's and don't of the hair industry, make up, nail art and more.
The next event is set for Friday, September 20, 2019 beginning with refreshments at 6:30 PM followed by the session from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM athe Multi-Cultural Resource Center for Children and Families. The program is FREE and is designed for students between the ages of 11 and 17 who are interested in earning about the world of entrepreneurship and the fashion and/or hair industry.
