Something for Everyone at Safety Festival

The 5th Annual SLC Safety Festival is filled with excitement, demonstrations and fun activities for the whole family. The Safety Festival held each year at First Data Field (home of the Mets), is Saturday, April 27, 2019 and runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Centennial High School’s ROTC and band will present the flag and play the National Anthem at 9:30, prior to the live demonstrations.  The lineup of First Responder demonstrations include: a live fire demo, K-9, bomb disposal, jaws-of-life, drone/SWAT and motorcycle demos.

(C) 2019 Hendrick Motorsports, LLCIn addition, there will be a firefighter challenge, distracted driver simulator and Hendrick Motorsports No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Show Car with simulator (sponsored by Post Insurance).  Air Rescue (helicopter), fire trucks, police vehicles, armored personnel carrier, motorcycles, boats, brush trucks, bulldozers, mobile command unit, buses and more as part of the Touch-a-Truck.  

The First Responders will have their SWAT Teams, Dive Teams, K-9 Units, robots, firefighters, emergency personnel and more for you to meet.  Learn about bus and school safety, pedestrian, bike, auto, fire, water safety.  Visit with the vendors, enjoy a variety of food trucks, watch the kids play in the FREE kid’s zone.

There will be a performance by the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County dance team, the St. Lucie Reading Coalitions’ Reading Festival and you can get photos with WPBF TV-25 and Justice TV on-air personalities.  The Safety Festival has free admission and free parking.
