Team Tommy Foundation Lip Sync Battle Selling Out!

10 acts will perform at Black Box Theater May 6, 2017

April 28, 2017

Preparations are well underway for the The Team Tommy Foundation’s Lip Sync Battlers. The ten acts performing at the Black Box Theater in Fort Pierce on May 6, 2017 have their songs in place and their choreography created! Celebrity Judges include Cathy Townsend, the honorable St. Lucie County Commissioner, Jane Rowley of EVERYWHERE ST. LUCIE as well as the Dyer Difference, Patti Becker, and Mitch Kloorfain, celebrity photographer to the stars. With the most talented entertainment on the Treasure Coast to keep the party moving, Traxx Entertainment and DJ’s have sponsored the event again this year. Contestants and teams will raise funds then compete in their best lip sync-abilities to wow the judges and crowd. Winners receive incredible trophies that showcase their skill and afford the best bragging rights around town.

Sponsors of the event include Louden Pools, the Tax Shoppe, St. Lucie Draft House, and NuFactor. The Foundation continues to seek sponsorships which begin at $500 and include tickets to the event and media recognition on the Team Tommy Foundation’s popular social media feeds.

The teams and contestants include Gabby Rothman and Dana Trabulsy (All Things Treasure Coast President), Erin Zaney – the wildly popular “Dolly” last year, and Sunny Booker – new this year. A complete list of contestants is listed on the Team Tommy website. Vote now for your favorites by donating to their online fundraising at www.teamtommy.org. All proceeds benefit Myositis patients and their families and caregivers.

“We’ve had an incredible increase in need from the Myositis community. There’s so much uncertainty with insurance coverages and premiums, medication cost increases and specialized services, Myositis patients who are applying to the Foundation for funds are truly suffering. Not only are these diseases debilitating, rendering patients the loss of use of their extremities, but then to have to worry about paying the mortgage or getting a script filled, it’s really heartbreaking.” said Deb Pizzimenti the Foundation’s Marketing and Communication Chair. “Tommy’s last wishes were that people who suffered like he did get assistance that they needed. That’s why we do what we do. We are so grateful to each of our contestants and teams for raising these much-needed funds. It’s going to be another great night.” said Dana Worthington, Tommy’s widow and Foundation Co-founder.

Tickets to the event are limited and may be purchased for $30. Contact any Team Tommy Foundation Board member or email me at laboyer13@gmail.com or info@teamtommy.org
