Costume-Making Workshop Returns to the Oxbow April 8th

March 31, 2017

The Oxbow Eco-Center and local artists are giving residents another chance to let your imagination soar as you bring your spirit animal to life through the creation of a decorative animal headdress or mask on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Once completed, you can show off your creation during the Procession of the Species parade at Oxbow’s 13th Annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event will give you and your family the unique opportunity to connect with nature and the community through art, music, dance and the power of ingenuity. The Procession of the Species will parade throughout the Earth Day Festival grounds, showcasing everything from nature costumes to larger than life animals, all in celebration of Florida’s amazing natural resources.

The costume-making workshop is appropriate for ages 10 and older with a cost of $10 per participant; all materials will be provided. Registration is required, by calling the Oxbow staff at 772-785-5833 or e-mail cartmille@stlucieco.org
