Step Up For Students is Open for New Applicants

March 18, 2016
John Carroll High School is proud to participate in the “Step Up For Students” program through the state of Florida. Step Up For Students is a state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer two scholarships for Florida schoolchildren: the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC) for low-income families and the Personal Learning Scholarship Accounts (PLSA) for children with certain special needs. Students can earn up to $5,677 to attend schools such as John Carroll.

The application process is simple, and the program is currently enrolling students, including applications from new families for the FTC scholarship for the 2016 – 2017 school year. Kindly visit StepUpForStudents.org to complete the application, as scholarships are given on a first come, first served basis. There is no fee to apply for the Florida Tax Credit (FTC) scholarship, and they only accept online applications. If you have created an account in the past, please use that same account to apply for the 2016 - 2017 school year.

Should you have any questions or concerns about the application process, please feel free to reach out via email at info@sufs.org or via phone at 877-735-7837. Their contact center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with an hour closure from 11 AM to 12 PM. Please be sure to select the Florida Tax Credit (FTC) scholarship prompt when dialing.
Additional financial assistance can also be available, beyond the Step Up For Students program, to those who qualify. For further information, please call 772-464-5200, visit JohnCarrollHigh.com, or check JCHS’s Facebook page.
