Welcome to all the families who joined us at the Children's Services Council's Sundaes In The Park last Saturday. The event was awesome and the little Macaronis kept MacDad and I busy from the moment the doors opened until closing time. In fact, we were the very last ones to leave since we still had many little ones wanting to paint with us at closing time and we just couldn't say no!

We would also like to welcome all the new families who are joining us by way of the Gold Daisy Awards! Our local businesses should be proud by how many of you are turning out to support them!

Speaking of the Gold Daisy Awards, there are two weeks left to vote for your favorites so if you haven't done so already, please take a second to vote and then share with your family and friends so they can vote, too! At some point this week, we'll try to update the Gold Daisy Awards article to show the current standings. Make sure to check back in a few days to see how your favs are doing.

We've got a full issue for you this week! Besides all the awesome family-friendly events on the calendar, and, of course the Gold Daisy awards, you'll read about the wonderful fall programs for kids at the PGA Center for Golf Learning & Performance, including the "Born to Play" Program especially designed for children 6 and under. We'll give you the scoop on all the children's programs scheduled at Morningside Branch Library in September, and share the City of Port Saint Lucie's plan to Go Orange for Hunger Action Month.

Oh, and don't forget that you can find our recurring columns like Macaroni Dad, Save the Date..., The Birthday Kids Club, and Kids Eat Free following the weekly event listings, so be sure to scroll through to the bottom of the newsletter so you don't miss a thing!

Have a fantastic weekend and a wonderful week ahead.
