Mead Organizher Luncheon Recap & Product Giveaway!

This Macaroni Mama had the pleasure of getting together for lunch with 10 fabulous moms this week. We met at Brushing On Bisque Pottery Studio in Tradition -- no, not to paint pottery, although that would have been fun, but to talk about how we moms can all get better organized.

After the introductions and pleasantries were over we got down to brass tacks and talked about the challenges facing busy moms. Some of the challenges brought up included, managing multiple schedules, keeping track of receipts, budgeting, dealing with mounds of papers piling up on kitchen tables, and the biggest one....meal planning. We talked about how Mead's new Organizher line was created especially to help busy moms tackle these challenges and that how over the last few weeks I had been using these products in my home and experienced first hand how helpful they are. I shared that while most of the products on the display table were given to me by Mead, I actually purchased the Plan 'N File Folder Calendar they saw there because I knew how helpful it would be in helping me keep track of the monthly papers that stack up! I showed them my new favorite, handy dandy Organizher product and they agreed that it was AWESOME! I then broke the news that while everything on the table was up for grabs and would be given away during our game at the end, the Plan 'N File Folder Calendar was all mine!! I reminded them that the Walmart in Stuart carried the Organizher line so all they had to do to get one of their very own was take a little drive!

Keeping track of family schedules isn't always a simple task. We talked about the different scheduling products in the Organizher line and about how it was great that there were so many options because what works best for one mom may not be convenient for another. A quick poll showed some moms preferred the Write 'n Wipe Monthly magnetic calendar, while others were more inclined toward the Week to Week Magnetic Notepad. All seemed to appreciate the On-the-Go Family Planner and the Mine, Theirs, and "Meal Planning sections present in all the scheduling products.

Speaking of meal planning...I confessed that meal planning was my arch nemesis and biggest challenge! I was relieved to discover I wasn't alone in this challenge, though it was clear to me that I was by far the lamest duck in the bunch! We passed around Organizher's new Shopping List and discussed how convenient this magnetic checklist is, especially since it can stick right on the fridge. It was a big hit that the list included many food staples, plus plenty of write-in space and the moms thought this would make simple work of keeping track of needed groceries. We did a brain storming activity using the Shopping List to see if using it could help make meal planning easier and most agreed it could. Everyone was really engaged and lots of great tips for meal planning was shared left and right.

Eventually the conversation turned to budgeting and keeping track of expenses and receipts and we passed around the Expense Tracker and talked about how it could really make it easy to keep track of expenses, receipts and bills with the convenient 12 monthly storage pockets. A few of the moms present said they kept their expense budgets in spreadsheets but we could see how it would be simple to print the spreadsheet out each month and attach it to the appropriate month in the Tracker so that everything could be kept in one place.

Discussing computer documents and storage had us all thinking about how dependent we've become on digital files. While they are certainly convenient at times, it can also be a pain when you have to go turn on your computer to find something...or if you lose or break your smart phone that contained your schedule and your passwords...! We came to the conclusion that having a written copy of important things like schedules, passwords, and grocery lists can be a GREAT thing and can at times save a busy mom lots of hassle.

As the luncheon drew to a close we a played a variant of the White Elephant Gift Exchange to give away the great products that were on the display table and our wonderful photographer, Eva Campbell of EvaC. Photography took some group photos. It is always fun when I get to spend quality time with our MK moms and this time was no exception. I got to introduce these moms to a quality product from one of our national sponsors and I got some great meal planning tips and more in the process! Talk about a win-win!!

If you would like to check out the new Mead Organizher line for yourself, you can find it at the Walmart Supercenter on SE Federal in Stuart.
