Fort Pierce Library Hosts Spring Break Water Safety Program

Kick off beach season with a fun and educational program about water safety presented by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary at the Fort Pierce Branch on Thursday, April 2nd at 2:00 PM.

This special spring break presentation features Assistant District Staff Officer Hank Cushard, who will be joined by Coast Guard mascot Panda, along with a special appearance from Coastie, the safety boat, as they speak to children about water safety.

While the program is most suited for children in grades kindergarten through 5th, the event is free and open to everyone.

Spend Spring Break at Morningside Library with a Big Hero

Spend spring break with Disney’s “Big Hero 6” (2014) at the Morningside Branch Library on Thursday, April 2 at 2 PM.

Featuring the voices of Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit and Jamie Chung, this animated film explores the special bond that develops between a plus-sized inflatable robot, Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes. “Big Hero 6” is rated PG with a running time of 102 minutes.

Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a pillow or blanket as well as their own snacks and drinks. This free program is most suited for ages 5-10, but all are invited to attend. Parents/caregivers are asked to accompany younger children.
