Two St. Lucie Libraries Host LoveScience Programs Dec. 30 & 31

Students looking to be engaged and entertained during the holiday break should check out St. Lucie County Library System’s LoveScience Programs Dec. 30 and 31.

CSI @ the Library takes place at the Zora Neale Hurston Branch Library, 3008 Avenue D in Fort Pierce, on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 3 p.m. Ever wonder how the experts solve crimes with science? This program will explore how DNA is used to determine who is guilty and who is innocent, using microscopes and other scientific techniques. For details call 772-462-2154.

Botany @ the Library blooms at the Morningside Branch Library, 2410 SE Morningside Blvd. in Port St. Lucie, on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m. Ever wonder how your garden grows? This program will explore plant anatomy and the function of plant parts along with hands-on activities including leaf shapes and dissecting flowers. Please note: Seating is limited. Both of these programs are free and appropriate for students ages 6 and older.
