Port St. Lucie Sparkles This Season With Several Holiday Events

The holiday season will be celebrated throughout the City of Port Saint Lucie with several events that can be shared with friends and family. Many of the festivities will take place at the Community Center, located at 2195 SE Airoso Boulevard; the Civic Center located at 9221 SE Civic Center Place; and at the Minsky Gym located at 750 SW Darwin Boulevard.

Winter Wonderland Light Show - From Monday, December 1st through Wednesday, December 31st beginning at 7 p.m. each evening that the Community Center is open, a beautiful light and sound experience is free for those who wish to see this sparkling display.

Sights & Lights of Saint Lucie West - Saint Lucie West businesses and homeowners associations will deck their halls with twinkling lights and holiday decor. Join us as we kick off this illuminating experience on Tuesday, December 2nd from 6 to 7 p.m. on NW Courtyard Circle in Saint Lucie West, just west of the Holiday Inn Express. The SLW Centennial Choir will sing holiday classics and businesses will be handing out coupons and giveaways.

Santa's Workshop - Kids ages 4 to 10 can make their own fun gifts to give for the holidays at Santa's Workshop on Saturday, December 6th from 10 a.m. until noon at the Civic Center. The cost is $7 per child which includes craft supplies and snacks.

Christmas at the Gardens with Santa and Mrs. Claus - Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stopping by the Port Saint Lucie Botanical Gardens on Saturday, December 6th from noon to 2 p.m. Kids ages 5 to 12 and their families are welcome to attend this free event and take pictures with Santa and the Mrs. Call 772-337-1959 for more information.

Festival of Lights - On Saturday, December 6th from noon until 10 p.m. in Village Square at the Civic Center, you're invited to celebrate the season at this fun-filled event which includes a kids’ snow zone, live music by “Solid Gold,” arts and crafts vendors and so much more. At 6 p.m. the annual Parade of Lights will begin and proceed down Civic Center Place with a “Frozen” theme. Following the parade, stay to see the lighting of the tree.

Port Saint Lucie Community Band “Holiday Spectacular” Concert - The Port Saint Lucie Concert Band will play all of your holiday favorites on Wednesday, December 10th at 7 p.m. at the Civic Center. Tickets are $6 in advance or $7 at the door.

Santa's Calling - Parents can register children ages 2 to 8 years old to receive a special phone call from Santa. On Thursday, December 11th and Tuesday, December 16th between 6 and 8 p.m., Santa will call and ask specific questions about the child's interests and the presents they'd like to ask for. Parents must complete the registration form by Friday, December 5th and return it to the Community Center.

Ambassadors of Swing “Holiday on Main Street” Dance - The Port Saint Lucie Ambassadors of Swing invite you to dance the night away to Big Band holiday hits on Tuesday, December 16th at beginning at 7 p.m. at the Civic Center. Tickets are $7 in advance or $9 at the door.

Santa Claus Visit - Santa will visit the Minsky Gym on Thursday, December 18th from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Children 5 years old and under can enjoy games, holiday crafts, face painting and snacks. Parents, be sure to bring your camera to take pictures with Santa. The cost is just $5 per child.

Pancakes with Santa - Children ages 2 to 5 and their families can come out and enjoy a morning of kids' crafts, a visit from Santa, face painting and pancakes on Friday, December 19th at 9:30 a.m. at the Community Center. The cost is $7.50 per child and pre-registration is required. Call 772-878-2277 to register.

“Merry Christmas, Baby” concert with Elvis impersonator Darrell Dunhill - On Saturday, December 20th at 7:30 p.m., International Elvis impersonator and Port Saint Lucie’s own, Darrell Dunhill, will perform all of your favorite Elvis Christmas songs at the Port Saint Lucie Civic Center. General admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. V.I.P. tickets are $25. Purchase tickets in advance by calling 772-807-4499.
