St. Lucie County Announces Thanksgiving Closings, Openings

All St. Lucie County offices, libraries and the Oxbow Eco-Center will be closed Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th in observance of Thanksgiving.

However, the St. Lucie County Aquarium, featuring the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit and the St. Lucie County Regional History Center will be open on Friday, November 28th for normal hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both attractions are located inside Museum Point Park, 414 Seaway Drive, at the foot of the South Hutchinson Island causeway bridge.

Additionally, Fairwinds Golf Course, located at 4400 Fairwinds Drive, will be open on Thanksgiving Day with the last nine-hole tee time at 1:52 p.m. and last 18-hole tee time at 11:52 a.m. The Pro Shop will close at 2 p.m. with the driving range closing at 4 p.m. Fairwinds will be open normal hours on Friday, November 28th.

The St. Lucie County Skate Park, located at 2100 Virginia Avenue, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but open for normal hours on Friday, November 28th from 2 to 5:30 p.m.

The St. Lucie County Landfill, located at 6120 Glades Cutoff Road, will be closed Thanksgiving Day, and open for holiday hours on Friday, November 28th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Savannas Park and Campground, located at 1400 Midway Road, Fort Pierce, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but open for normal hours on Friday, November 28th.

The Lincoln Park Community Center, located at 1306 Avenue M, Fort Pierce, will be closed Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th.

All St. Lucie County environmental preserves are open year round during daylight hours.
