Before we introduce you to this week's pets we'd like let you know that with recent news that a bat captured in our area tested positive for the rabies virus, The Humane Society of St. Lucie County is going to host a rabies vaccination clinic
Saturday, October 25th from 10 am- 2 pm at our Port St. Lucie facility (8890 NW Glades Cut-Off Rd.) We will be charging $20 for each vaccination, which will include a rabies tag and a vaccination certificate for your records. If you have more than 1 pet in your household each subsequent vaccination after the first will be $15.
In addition to making sure your pet is up to date on their rabies vaccination we will also be offering a $20 voucher to go towards getting your pet spayed or neutered. According to the Florida Health Department keeping your pet up to date on vaccinations and getting your pet spayed or neutered are important steps in reducing the risk of diseases like rabies that can be fatal to your pet’s health.

Meet Shaynee - Our Macaroni Dog of the Week
I am just as cute and cuddly as a big teddy bear. I was returned after my owner became ill and now I am looking for my luck to turnaround. I just love being around people especially when they are giving me a nice back rub. I also absolutely just adore children and would take great care of them as their loyal companion. So don’t wait!
