Note from the Publisher...

September 26, 2014

Wow...this has been one very busy week! It is amazing how quickly the days fly and how there are truly not enough hours in the day to get everything done. As I write this it is 4:50 AM and I'm still working to put the finishing touches on this week's edition, which is due to publish in a little over an hour! To that end - I'm still on the hunt for a partner for my two Macaroni Kid editions so if you have an entrepreneurial spirit, are creative, not afraid of sales (in fact, you could sell snow to Santa) and would like to help me take Macaroni Kid to the next level, then please email me your resume with a letter of interest and tell me why you would be perfect for MK.

In this week's issue you'll find the 2014 Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch Guide. Events are still coming in but there's a pretty good list to get you started. We'll give you details about the inaugural Indian River Lagoon Science Festival coming up this weekend and the annual Oktoberfest celebration set for next weekend at the PSL Civic Center. The Guardian ad Litem program is seeking volunteers and we'll share info about this very important program and the open house you can attend on 9/30 to find out how you can become a voice for abused children. The JBF the Treasure Coast's Kid's Consignment Sale opens today (Friday, 9/26/14) and runs through Sunday and we've got tips to help you shop the sale PLUS you'll find a free admission coupon exclusive to MK readers so you can shop the sale today for free.

Don't forget our regular features follow the calendar listings so be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see this week's Macaroni Pets, our list of upcoming walks/runs, Macaroni Dad's column, and of course, our Kids Eat Free (or Cheap) listings.

That's all for now...until next time, have a fantastic weekend and a wonderful week ahead.
