Meet Tyco - Our Macaroni Dog of the Week

I’m just a handsome man looking for a nice place to retire and enjoy some fun in the sun. I am your typical jack Russell, very active, and always looking for a good time. I enjoy frolicking in the yard and making new friends all over the neighborhood. I want to be your best friend!

Tyco is available for adoption at the Humane Society of St. Lucie County’s Fort Pierce shelter.

Meet Carr - Our Macaroni Cat of the Week

As you can probably guess I got my name because of my robust size, but the way I look at it is there is just more to love. I am super laid back and just like to chill on the sofa or my bed with my friends. If you have a big heart and are looking for a cat to match it then come see me, your buddy Carr.
Carr is available for adoption at the Humane Society of St. Lucie County’s Fort Pierce shelter.

The Humane Society of Saint Lucie County is an open admission, non-profit animal shelter, helping more than 8,000 unwanted pets each year, thanks to the support of donors and volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering your time to help with animals or fundraising or would like to see the other animals that are available for adoption, contact: The Humane Society of St. Lucie County’s Fort Pierce location at 100 Savannah Road in Fort Pierce, (phone 772-461-0687) or our Port St. Lucie facility at 8890 NW Glades Cut-Off Road (phone 772-466-PETS).

Effective 6/4/2014 -  Hours of operation for both shelters are Tuesday - Friday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, closed Sunday and Monday. Pet adoptions stop one-half hour before closing on each day.
