Voting for the 2014 Gold Daisy Awards closed just a few hours ago and now comes the fun part - tallying the votes and notifying the winners! It's been an incredible journey from the initial planning of the awards, to the nomination round, to the final voting period and the process has reinforced the admiration and respect we feel toward you and this wonderful community in which we live. We are truly amazed by how many of you stepped up and nominated and/or voted in support of your favorite local businesses and we thank you for making our first Gold Daisy Awards such a huge success. We look forward to announcing the award winners in next week's issue.

Congratulations to Stacey-Ann H. who won the family four pack of tickets to see Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy at the BB&T Center! Tickets are still available and we do have a discount code for you so if you're wanting to take the kids to the show CLICK HERE to be redirected to the article in last week's issue and scroll down for the code.

Other things to look for in this week's issue - The Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County is gearing up for the 2014 Day for Kids; we'll tell you more about it and how you can participate with your family. The Morningside Library is launching a new "School's Out Program" for early dismissal days; it's geared toward kids in grades 6 though 12 and we'll give you all the 2014 dates. We've also got some tips for How To Be A Successful JBF Consignor to help you get ready for the Just Between Friends Kids Consignment Sale coming to the PSL Civic Center later this month, and 'll share my review of the new STEALTH headset from Jabra (spoiler alert...I REALLY like it!).

That's all for now...until next time, have a fantastic weekend and a wonderful week ahead.
