Info On Local Programs & Services For Children At Your Fingertips

July 11, 2014
Where can you go to learn everything from how to get support for your newborn to finding afterschool programs for your 7th grader to figuring out how to better communicate with your teen? The answers to these questions and so many more can be found in the Children Services Council of St. Lucie County new app available for iPhone and Android users, which was recently released.

This family-friendly app is a one-stop-shop for all of the programs that are funded by the Children Services Council of St. Lucie County, plus local events and more. The app features a listing of all 53 funded programs with links to call each agency or directions to their locations. Users can find the app by searching “CSCSLC” in their app store.

“We’ve distributed more than 30,000 copies of our printed Directory of Funded Programs in the last couple years proving how important this information is to local families,” said Sean Boyle, Executive Director of the Children’s Services Council. “We know this app will be widely used by parents, caregivers and the support staff from our funded programs. We’re really excited to see how it will help connect local children and their parents to more resources and opportunities.”

The Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County improves the lives of more than 30,000 children and families in our community by funding and partnering with quality agencies that ensure that every baby born is a healthy baby, stop child abuse before it happens, keep kids off the streets, keep them in school, and keep them away from drugs and alcohol.
