A warm Macaroni welcome to all those who are joining us from the City of Port Saint Lucie's magnificent Freedomfest event. In spite of the shaky start with the weather, we had a great time meeting you and painting "fireworks" with the kids!
It's summer travel time once more for this Macaroni Kid Family. My beautiful cousin is getting married in New Jersey this weekend so we're headed to the Northeast to attend the wedding. We decided to make it a road-trip so we'll be stopping in DC to pick up our oldest child before driving the rest of the way north. After the wedding we'll visit with relatives in Connecticut where MacDad will be doing some work for his company and I'll be working on the issues remotely. We both hope to get in some play, relaxation, and quality time with our northern friends and family before heading back at the end of the month.
A few things to look for in this edition are the announcement of the coming 2014 Gold Daisy awards, info about the importance of vacinating against the flu, and a new app from the Children's Services Council of SLC. We have also updated the Kids Eat Free feature so be sure to scroll down past the calendar listings to see what's new.
