HOMESCHOOL DAY AT THE OXBOW - FORESTRY
Have you ever wondered how old that tree is that’s near your house? Attend this Oxbow program to learn the skills needed to identify types of trees, estimate the height of a tree, measure its girth and estimate its age. Students will search for the Oxbow’s champion tree. Most of the program will be in an outdoor setting -- hats and water are required.

JEWELRY MAKING WITH BOBBIE AT THE OXBOW
We all know that home-made gifts are the most meaningful. Now here’s your chance to wow a loved one by creating one-of-a-kind jewelry designed just for them. Don’t forget Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Do you have a sentimental piece of jewelry that you would like to revive again or use in more than one piece to share with several members of your family? Oxbow volunteer Bobbie Richards will help you create pieces that are unique.

GRACEWAY VILLAGE 2nd ANNUAL BUTTERFLY KISSES FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE

DADDY/DAUGHTER VALENTINE DANCE

ART CLASS AT THE OXBOW
The Oxbow’s monthly Art Class will literally “Finding Nature’s Zentangles.” Treasure Coast Art Association teams up with Oxbow to present this fun and Zentangleart class. Certified Zentangle Instructor Debbie Perdue will present creative yet relaxing nature inspired patterns that are beautifully easy to do whenever you feel the need to “Zen.”

SPRING BREAK CAMP AT THE SMITHSONIAN MARINE ECOSYSTEMS EXHIBIT
No school? No worries! SMEE is offering a day of sea-soaked fun and learning for your spring-breakers. Campers will enjoy marine science activities at the Aquarium and outdoors including crafts and mangrove exploration. Participants should bring lunch, water shoes, water bottle and sun screen. A snack will be provided. Registration opens 2/20/14.

HOMESCHOOL DAY AT THE OXBOW - SEA TURTLES
St. Lucie County beaches are the nesting spots for five species of sea turtle. At this presentation students will experience some of the struggles of these marine reptiles as we play a riveting round of “Turtle Hurdles”. While learning about their amazing adaptations, students will compare hatchlings to adults, discuss the lost years and unique features of each sea turtle species.

BEYOND BUTTERFLIES
Middle school is a transition most people do not soon forget. For better or worse, it’s important to have all of the tools to tame those butterflies and transition successfully. This program is designed specifically for girls is 5th grade and will feature stress management, focus on friends, handling difficult people, building your “safety net”, and caring for yourself in positive ways. Girls can also look forward to creative projects, strong friendships and so much more! Please Note: Camping is optional. If camping girls will need a tent and camping gear. Girls can be picked up at 7:00 PM if not spending the night.
