PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance: Programs & Camps Galore!

January 31, 2014 - Are you interested in getting your child involved in golf? Look no further the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance (PGA CLP) in Port St. Lucie, Fla. – a 35-acre, cutting-edge training environment with 100 full-swing stations and nine bunker types.

The state-of-the-art facility offers a variety of programs for juniors (ages 6-18), taught by a dedicated staff of PGA Professionals. Owned and operated by The PGA of America, the PGA CLP is ranked among the Top 50 public golf ranges by Golf Range Magazine.



Regardless of your child’s age, there are several junior camps and programs to choose from:
  • The five-week Wednesday After School Program starts February 5 to March 5 from 5 to 6 p.m. The class includes fitness, full swing, short game and on-course play, as well as a range pass for the PGA CLP through the end of the program. Total cost is $79. Deadline to register is February 3.
  • The “Born to Play” program is designed for ages six and under and focuses on full swing, short game, rules, etiquette, fitness, and (most importantly) fun! Classes begin February 4 through March 11 (six weeks) from 5 to 6 p.m. Cost is $59 and children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Winter Junior Golf Camps will be held February 18 – 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will learn all aspects of golf including fitness, short game, full swing, rules and etiquette and on-course play. For only $149, Winter Junior Camps serve as an ideal tune up for the new golf season. Deadline to register is February 15.
  • For more serious players, the PGA CLP offers a weekend Competitive Junior Camp (ages 14 and up) on February 15 and 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Top PGA Professionals will work with students to develop specialized skills, structure effective practice routines, sharpen skills, provide motivational techniques and develop a better understanding of golf fitness and proper nutrition. The camp offers two hours of daily instruction (four to one student to teacher ratio), two daily nine-hole on-course coaching at PGA Golf Club and much more. The cost is $835 per person.
Mom and Dad need to stay sharp with their game as well so the PGA CLP offers a variety of adult game improvement programs.
  • Whether you are a beginner or returning to the game, Get Golf Ready is designed to teach you everything you need to know to step on the golf course and play with confidence in five short lessons for only $99. Classes begin February 17 through early March. Spots are filling up quickly so sign up today!
  • The PGA CLP offers daily clinics to help you improve all areas of your game. The Game Improvement Schedule features “Tee Shots – Hit More Fairways” on Mondays, “Putt the Ball like a Pro” on Tuesdays, “Irons – Hit More Greens” on Wednesdays, “Bunkers: Get Your Ball Out the First Time” on Thursdays, “Simple Stroke Saving Short Shots” on Fridays, “Back to Basics” on Saturdays and “Long Approach Shots and Layups with Fairways Woods and Hybrids” on Saturdays. Each session begins at 10 a.m. and cost is $35 per clinic (limit 12 participants).
