Meet Luther - Our Macaroni Dog of the Week

Yessiree, I am as laid-back as I look. A 2-year-old Hound mix of a guy, I was found as a stray on someone’s property. Only problem is, the people who lost me never came to find me. I am sweet, calm and would do well with children of any age. I’m a large dog, and a beauty. Like many of us here at the shelter, I might need some guidance and training to adjust in a new home, but if you have the time to spend with me, then I have the time to love you. Forever.

Meet Sassy - Our Macaroni Cat of the Week

I am such a beauty, the photographer had trouble deciding which picture to send to Macaroni Kid. Check out a few others of me on the shelter’s website, and you will see what I mean. I am a gray and white, 4-year-old Domestic Shorthair girl, adopted from this same shelter in March but returned this month because my owner was moving and couldn’t have cats in her new place. What a shame – for her and for me! All you need to know now is that I am sweet, gentle, love people of any age, and just want a home and a lap to call my own. Forever this time. Please.

You can meet Luther and Sassy by stopping by the Humane Society of Saint Lucie County, 100 Savannah Road in Fort Pierce. They would really love to meet you and be your fur-ever friend!

The Humane Society of Saint Lucie County is an open admission, non-profit animal shelter, helping more than 8,000 unwanted pets each year, thanks to the support of donors and volunteers.
