Meet Harley - Our Macaroni Dog of the Week

I am a purebred Australian Shepherd and with one eye blue and the other brown, a real beauty. Six-years-old, I came to the HSSLC with an injured leg, so I’m walking with a bit of a limp, and the nice folks at the shelter are giving me some medicine to see if it will help. My previous owner knows I like children and am very smart. I want to be a house dog with an owner who will walk me on a leash regularly. Do you have a big heart? Come rescue me, and I promise to love you forever.

Meet Leilani - Our Macaroni Cat of the Week

Look how perfectly I can adorn a sofa! My name is beautiful, and so am I. A 3-month-old Domestic Shorthair cutie, I would love to find a home to live in forever. I’m still a baby, so take me home today and we’ll be companions for a long time.

You can meet Harley and Leilani by stopping by the Humane Society of Saint Lucie County, 100 Savannah Road in Fort Pierce. They would really love to meet you and be your fur-ever friend!

The Humane Society of Saint Lucie County is an open admission, non-profit animal shelter, helping more than 8,000 unwanted pets each year, thanks to the support of donors and volunteers.

If you are interested in adopting our featured dog or cat of the week, volunteering your time to help with animals or with fund-raising, or if you would like to see the other lovable animals that are available for adoption, contact the shelter at (772) 461-0687 or visit www.hsslc.org.
