Can you believe we are nearing the end of another month? July is almost over and soon we will be preparing the kiddos for back to school! Boy, is this summer flying by. Speaking of back to school, we will be featuring a couple of back to school supply drives in the coming weeks. We'll start this week with Heart 2 Heart's 3rd Annual Back to School Giveaway, which takes place on Saturday, August 4th at 1:00 PM at Jessica Clinton Park.
Macaroni Dad, the MiniMac and I are all enjoying our time here in beautiful Connecticut. MacDad will be returning home on Sunday while MiniMac and I will spend another couple of weeks here with our family. It's amazing how much this work-from-mommy can get done with the help of my amazing family. Thanks, Auntie Ruthie & Uncle Earl for your hospitality and all you do for us!
New This Week - Scroll down or click through to read up on the following events going on in our community this week: Saint Lucie Lanes and All Pet Rescue present a bowling event to support the adoption of Senior Dogs and Saint Lucie 4-H is creating a new line dancing club for children between the ages of 8 and 18. A new Kickball league is forming at Sandhill Crane Park for adults and teens ages 16 and up. Play begins on August 18th. Contact Erin Murphy at the City of PSL, 772-807-4469 for more info. Our featured dog of the week has been living at the Humane Society of SLC since May and is in desperate need of a good home. Please check him out in this week's Dog of the Week and consider adopting him if you are looking to add a four-legged friend to your family.

Peter Pan: Congratulations to Alyson Schock who is the winner of our family four pack of Tix to see the show on Wednesday, August 1st at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. Alyson won the "Big Kid" contest with this entry:
"My husband and I are big kids. We don't just play with our kids, we become kids when we play. We dress up like fairies, princesses, and pirates. We crawl on the floor and makeup songs while being the tickle monster. We create stories that we tell our children at night and then act out during the day. We throw surprise breakfast parties, afternoon band competitions, and evening karaoke contests where the winners get to jump on their beds. (it's always funny when I win). We are the first ones in the bounce house and the last ones out of the pool. All of our vacations are based around how much fun we can have and how much we can play. And Peter pan is ALL of our most favorite movies, books, and story to pretend with. We even go on tinker bell fairy hunts when we hear tinkling bells. This would be a dream come true!"
