Meet Yoko - Our Macaroni Dog of the Week

My name is Yoko and I am a 1 year old Japanese Chin mix living at The Humane Society of Saint Lucie County. I am a very quiet gal who likes to keep to myself a bit. Because it is so noisy at the shelter at times, the nice folks at the Humane Society placed me into a nice, quiet foster home to be socialized. The good news is, I am young and hope to have a nice, long life ahead of me in the right home.

I am looking for a 'fur'ever home that is quiet without young kids, and for someone who has a lot of patience while I get used to my new environment. Oh, and I'm allergic to fleas, so I really need to keep those nasty little things off of me (I'm sure you don't want them either!).

If you are interested in meeting me, please call The Humane Society of St. Lucie County and set up an appointment with me and my foster parent. You will see how beautiful I really am.

Meet Lucy - Our Macaroni Cat of the Week

My name is Lucy and I am a two year-old Domestic Shorthair kitty living at The Humane Society of St. Lucie County. I am the feline combination of Lucille Ball and Lucy from the Peanuts Cartoon. I am quite funny to watch rolling around, trying to get a belly rub. I am also determined to have you pay attention to me by talking and stretching out to you. I am a great, well-behaved young lady. Please come visit me; perhaps you will say “I Love Lucy” and take me into your family.

You can meet Yoko and Lucy by stopping by the Humane Society of Saint Lucie County, 100 Savannah Road in Fort Pierce. They would really love to meet you and be your fur-ever friend!

The Humane Society of St. Lucie County is an open admission, non-profit animal shelter, helping more than 8,000 unwanted pets each year, thanks to the support of donors and volunteers. To adopt, for volunteering opportunities or to donate, contact the shelter at (772) 461-0687 or visit www.hsslc.org.
