Licensed Teen Drivers Can Take Teen Driver Challenge to Improve Skills

St. Lucie County licensed teen drivers can improve their defensive driving skills by taking the "Teen Driver Challenge" on February 23 and 25, 2017 according to Sheriff Ken J. Mascara.

"The number one killer of American teenagers is car crashes," said Sheriff Mascara. "That is why the Sheriffs of Florida developed the Teen Driver Challenge Program."

The course will take place Thursday, February 23, 2017 with a classroom session 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Saint Lucie County Sheriff's Office, located at 4700 West Midway Road, Fort Pierce, and a hands-on driving session Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Indian River State College Public Safety Training Complex on Kirby Loop Road.

Classes are free, but space is limited. Details and registration forms are on the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office website at www.stluciesheriff.com
