Spark Your Holiday Spirit This Season at the Coastal Center

December 9, 2016
Florida Oceanographic Society is excited to announce their inaugural holiday fundraising event: Lights on the Lagoon, A Winter Wonderland. From December 10, 2016 through December 18th guests can visit the Coastal Center on Hutchinson Island every evening to see the grounds transformed with holiday lights and palm trees aglow.

Visitors have a unique opportunity to walk through the Coastal Center nightly from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and see the property gleaming in holiday lights. Guests will see over 47 illuminated palms, 15 decorated holiday trees and many other twinkling displays. There will also be entertainment from local community groups including choirs, orchestras, dance troupes, and more. Santa will be around for pictures and season’s greetings.
Families and friends are encouraged to kick off the holiday season and enjoy the winter wonderland atmosphere every night. There will be food and drink available for purchase, as well as time to get started on holiday shopping in the gift shop.

Tickets are now on sale online and at the Coastal Center during business hours. Proceeds from this fundraiser directly benefit Florida Oceanographic Society and their mission to inspire environmental stewardship of Florida’s coastal ecosystems through education, research and advocacy.
