UPDATE - 10/21/2016 - Our site experienced a major outage overnight and throughout today that may have something to do with the cyber attacks that occurred earlier this morning. MK Corporate is working diligently to resolve these issues but in the meantime, we are not able to publish a new newsletter. For now, I've imported the events that this week's edition would have covered, that being: Friday, 10/21/16 - Thursday, 10/27/16 and added a couple of new articles to this issue -- basically turning this one into a 2-week issue. Hopefully, all will be resolved soon and we will get a proper NL out next Friday. So sorry for the inconvenience and we truly appreciate your understanding.  AP

Greetings Macaroni Kid families!

Thank goodness Matthew is behind us! We hope all of you are safe and sound and that electricity has been restored for those of you who lost it. Although there was mostly minor damage from the storm skimming our coastline, compared to the havoc wreaked on those in the counties north of us and the devastating floods that hit the Carolinas, we were all pretty lucky and certainly dodged a major bullet this time. Whew!!

We are saddened by the catastrophic loss of life and devastation in Haiti and would like to help spread the news of any relief efforts being organized for them or any of the other hard-hit areas. If your church, nonprofit or organization is putting anything together, please let us know and we will share it here or on our Facebook pages.

On a happier note, we are so excited to share the news that our very own MiniMac is a semi-finalist in this year's Treasure Coast's Got Talent, where the audience is the final judge! She is singing a duet with her amazingly talented friend, Lexi. The show is tonight (Friday, 10/14) at StarStruck Academy & Theatre at 7:00 PM. We would be so thrilled if some of our readers could come out and support them. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets online or call the box office at 772-283-7787.

And there's more! MiniMac also auditioned for the Youth Arts Celebration at the Lyric Theatre and was accepted to perform in that show as well! The show is next Saturday, 10/22, at 7:00 PM at the Lyric. Again, we'd love for our MacKid community to come out and support her and the other fabulously creative kids on the Treasure Coast as they showcase their talents. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets online or call the box office at 772-286-7827.

As we move deeper into fall you'll see an abundance of wonderful, local festivals and things for families to do together cropping up on our calendar. Be sure to check out Annual Fall Festivals & Halloween Happenings Guide for the latest fall festivities and see the Pick & Calendar sections for all the great things Saint Lucie County has to offer this week.

Have a fabulous weekend and a wonderful week ahead!

Peace, Love, & Macaroni,
