Emergency Medical Consultants Offers Free CPR Class!

May 19, 2016
Each summer, Emergency Medical Consultants in conjunction with our partners offers FREE CPR COURSES to promote summer safety. The course is the latest American Heart Association’s CPR For Family and Friends Training and is designed to teach the general public to recognize and treat choking and cardiac emergencies. The program takes just 2 hours and allows time to learn and practice CPR. There is no test to take.

The course will be offered three times over the next couple weeks at the following dates/times and locations
  • Saturday, May 28, 2016, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Martin Memorial North, 300 Hospital Avenue in Stuart
  • Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Emergency Medical Consultants, 597 SE Port Saint Lucie Boulevard in Port Saint Lucie
  • Saturday, June 4, 2016, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, 1700 S 23rd Street in Fort Pierce
This FREE CPR and summer safety training is available to parents, grandparents or anyone interested in learning this life-saving skill. The program was started after the company's owner, a current Fire Captain and Paramedic, witnessed 13 children drown and not survive largely in part due to bystanders and family not knowing CPR. This is the 21st year EMC has provided this program free of charge.

Although the program is free, registration is required to attend. To register, please call 772-878-3085.
