Oxbow Aims to Teach Archery February 13th

February 5, 2016
Discover your inner “Katniss” or “Hawkeye” as the Oxbow Eco-Center presents Families Exploring Archery on Saturday, February 13th from 10:AM to 1:00 PM.

The popularity of archery has risen over the past few years due to movies such as “Disney’s Brave,” “The Hunger Games,” and “The Avengers.” The Oxbow is giving residents a chance to experience this very safe and fun sport. This introduction to recreational archery includes a classroom session and range time. Participants will learn range safety, proper form, and how to shoot a bow and arrow from USA Archery certified instructors.

This is a family event for both adults and children 8 and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $5 for anyone planning to participate on the range and shoot bows. Closed-toed shoes are required. All equipment will be provided. Space is limited to 18 people, so please register early at 772-785-5833 or oxbow@stlucieco.org.

The Oxbow Eco-Center is a St. Lucie County Environmental Learning Center located at 5400 N.E. St. James Drive in Port St. Lucie. For the full calendar of Oxbow events, visit www.oxboweco.com.
