November 26, 2015
The staff at Lincoln Park Community Center invites residents to come C.H.I.L.L. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

“C.H.I.L.L.” (Choosing How I live Life) is a free one day event. This crime prevention, community health fair, and youth summit at the Lincoln Park Community Center provides health education, services, and advocacy that will promote healthy behaviors.

The event will address a variety of public safety issues including gang activity, crime with homicide, drug and alcohol influences, and poor health habits. Included will be informative lectures, a youth/teen summit, crime reduction programs and outreach initiatives. Community partners will provide health access on-site with screenings and educational materials to increase awareness, promote health, and prevent violence. Additionally, prizes, raffles and refreshments will be provided.

Made possible through a grant from the Allegany Franciscan Ministry, this event is coordinated by Lincoln Park Community Center along with a planning committee of community partners such as VCOYA (Village Coalition of Youth Activities) and the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Located at 1306 Avenue M in Fort Pierce, the Lincoln Park Community Center is managed and operated by the St. Lucie County Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department. For more information about the center and all of its activities call 772-462-1788.
