Morningside Library Welcomes “Cinderella” Oct. 10

The story of “Cinderella” gets another retelling as the Morningside Branch Library presents “Disney’s Cinderella” (2015) as part of its Movie Matinee on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m.

Featuring Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Richard Madden, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her daughters, after her father passes away. Never one to give up hope, Ella's fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger. Based on the classic fairy tale, this live action movie is rated PG with a running time of 105 minutes. Best suited for ages 5-10, moviegoers are encouraged to bring a pillow or blanket and are welcomed to bring their own snacks and drinks.

Weekly storytimes are scheduled for every Wednesday (Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28) and Thursday (Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29) at 10:30 a.m., while Legos at the Library continues on the third Saturday (Oct. 17) from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and Crafts for Kids returns on the fourth Saturday (Oct. 24) at 2 p.m.

Don’t miss two new programs: Robotics for Kids and Science Saturday Storytime both on the first Saturday (Oct. 3) of each month at 10:30 a.m.

All programs are free and open to the public – thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Library.
