Greetings Macaroni Families!

We have much to report this week starting with the City of Port Saint Lucie Police Department's plans for National Night Out Against Crime 2015. There will be a "March Against Crime" this morning (7/31) beginning at 9:30 AM from the PSL Civic Center and then an open house at the Police Department tomorrow with activities for the kids. Also beginning tonight is the Pirate Festival over at Riverside Park in Vero Beach. The festival aims to bring Treasure Coast families "together over the historical significance regarding the loss of the 1715 Treasure Fleet, and to celebrate the reason why this area is now called "The Treasure Coast." This festival is truly "300 Years in the Making!" If back to school in on your mind, then you may want to head over to the Havert L. Fenn Center with your kids for the Back to School Expo on Saturday morning. The Expo is designed to provide parents with "one stop" access for valuable resources and to ensure children are ready for the first day of school.

Other stories you'll read about in this week's issue include info on next week's Friday Fest and the great program for kids at Morningside library. We are also rerunning the story about the Teen Groove Dance Show coming to our area so we can get the word out to parents about the auditions for teen hosts on 8/15. We'll also share info about a great new family game from SimplyFun called Dinosaur Challenge and MacDad comes "Unplugged" in his column this week.

Have an fantastic weekend and a wonderful week ahead.
