Greetings Macaroni families and Happy 4th to you!

In this week's issue we are featuring area 4th of July celebrations, including Stars Over St. Lucie in historic downtown Fort Pierce and Freedomfest at the Port Saint Lucie Civic Center. You'll also read about the many family-friendly programs going on in July at our county libraries. July is Parks & Recreation month and to celebrate, the City of PSL invites you to participate in a FREE class at any of their three facilities.

We received a notice from St. Lucie County about July 4th holiday openings and closings and they are as follows: All county offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the holiday, however, the libraries, the Oxbow Eco-Center and the St. Lucie County Aquarium, featuring the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit will be open normal business hours on Friday and closed on Saturday, the 4th. All county pools, the Regional History Center, Fairwinds Golf Course, St. Lucie County Skate Park and Savannas Recreation Area and Campground will keep normal hours of operation throughout the holiday weekend. The Lincoln Park Community Center and its programming will be closed 7/3 and 7/4.

Come See Us - We will be out at two 4th of July festivals this weekend with a cool fireworks painting craft for the kids. Janet will be at Stuart Stars and Stripes and MacDad and I will be at Freedomfest at the PSL Civic Center. If your holiday travels lead you in our direction, be sure to stop by and say hello!

Have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend and a wonderful week ahead.
